Charitable Giving by Hamaguchi Apps
Our company's mission includes donating a portion of our proceeds back to organizations that support children with special needs. It will be some time before our little company is technically "profitable" due to the huge start-up costs that are required to develop apps. These costs include paying animators, illustrators, programmers, studio sound engineers, photographers, graphic designers, etc. We will select one organization each month and post it here. As we become actually profitable, we hope to increase the amount we donate!
We received our first actual royalty check from Apple on December 29th, 2011 for our apps and we felt that the best way to celebrate that would be to make a donation to one of our favorite organizations, the Special Olympics.
October 2011: Down Syndrome Research and Treatment Foundation ($100)
January 2012: Special Olympics: $500 March 2012: Parents Helping Parents (php.com) $500
